A Professional Tip Bought to You By: Deacon Recruiting’s Senior Director: Dana Laramore CPC

In the current San Antonio market we are seeing more than ever a lack of “active” talent on the market.  Let’s face it, talent is hard to find!  With that said, when your go-to team member finds another job, I can assure you, they will receive a counter offer.  For Clients, it’s imperative to present your best offer to a candidate the first time.  This sets the stage to build the relationship and show how excited you are to have them join your team.  For Candidates, reflect on the reasons you are looking to make a move.  Money doesn’t buy happiness, so when receiving a counter offer remember that statics show that if you accept a counteroffer, the likelihood of you leaving in six months or being let go within one year is extremely high. National statistics indicate that 89% of people who accept counteroffers are gone in six months.

We hope you find these tips helpful. At Deacon Recruiting, we take a great deal of pride in helping people not only find rewarding positions, but also grow personally.
