Ann is a native San Antonian. After graduating from The University of Texas, Ann practiced in public accounting. Ann has been recognized as an industry leader since she entered the staffing industry in 1988. Ann has received numerous awards for outstanding performance as an Executive Recruiter and Industry leader nationally. Ann was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame by the National Association of Personnel Services for her leadership, innovation and contributions to the staffing industry. Ann received the prestigious 2014 Norbert I. B. Fried Ethics National Award in recognition of her efforts to upgrade the image and practices of the staffing industry. Ann is the Founder and CEO of Deacon Recruiting Inc., Deacon Professional Services LLC, Deacon Real LLC, and Lux Concierge & Amenity Management. Deacon continues to grow and is the largest Executive Search firm in San Antonio and one of the largest privately held recruiting firms regionally.
Ann continues to give back to the community through her many Board activities. Ann is on the Advisory Council for the UTSA School of Business. Ann is a Past Chairman of the Board for the National Association of Personnel Services and San Antonio Association of Personnel Consultants; and past Executive Board member for the Texas Association of Personnel Consultants. Previous Community Board Leadership positions include the International Entrepreneurs Organization, the Battered Women’s Shelter of Bexar County, Arthritis Foundation, and the Junior League of San Antonio. Mrs. Deacon has received Distinguished Volunteer Awards and the President’s Award from various organizations including the San Antonio Association of Personnel Consultants, the Arthritis Foundation, and the Junior League of San Antonio for her significant contributions.
Ann has been married to her husband, Charlie, for 35 years. She has strong family values and she considers herself fortunate to have close lifelong friends.

Dana is a Senior Divisional Director in Deacon’s Accounting-Finance Division. The practice focuses on placing Accounting & Finance Professionals from staff through executive levels.
Dana graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. She began her career with Deacon Recruiting in 2011 as an Associate Recruiter and was quickly promoted to Director, and then to her current role, Senior Director. During her tenure, Dana has consistently received numerous awards for Top Quarterly and Top Monthly Performer and was recognized as Deacon’s 2012 Rookie of the Year. Combined with Dana’s results driven approach and Deacon’s Best Practices, she is able to identify the very best candidates for Deacon’s Client Companies.
Dana lives in Spring Branch with her husband, John and daughter, Brooke. She enjoys running, attending workout classes, and spending time with her family and friends.

Lauren Costley CPC
Senior Divisional Director, Corporate Services & Training-Development Divisions
Lauren Costley is the Senior Divisional Director of the Corporate Services & Training & Development Divisions. Lauren joined Deacon with 11 years of experience in Management, Sales and Marketing, predominantly in the Health and Fitness arena. Lauren graduated from Texas State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. She was Rookie of the Year in 2013, and was an inductee in to the company’s “Million Dollar Club” in 2017. Her specialties include all levels of professionals in the areas of Human Resources, Operations, Legal, and Executive Administrative support.
Lauren is also very involved in her community. In 2012, she served as the Ambassador Lead for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society promoting their Inaugural Herothon Half-Marathon Series. In 2013, Lauren and other Deaconites participated in the Light the Night event with LLS to raise money for research to find cures for blood cancers. She is excited to continue her involvement with LLS in 2021 by fundraising and running for “Woman of the Year”. In 2018, Lauren was on the Executive Leadership Committee for “Go Red”, a program dedicated to the awareness and importance of heart health for women through the American Heart Association.
Lauren also serves as a Committee Chair for SAHRMA; a local chapter that supports the education and further development of Human Resource professionals. Lauren has been a Speaker on panels for the National Association of Personnel Services and local Universities in San Antonio. In 2016, she served on a committee for Executive Women International, awarding non-traditional students scholarships. Currently, Lauren serves on the North Chamber Leadership Lab Alumni Board.
Lauren and her husband, Chris, have been married for fourteen years, and have two children, Camryn and Jordan. In her spare time, Lauren loves to run, play golf and to have FUN with family & friends.

Cathi Mitchell Beecroft CPC, CTS
Director, Medical Division
Cathi is a Director in Deacon’s Medical Division. The practice focuses on placing professionals in hospitals and clinics nationwide in Radiation Oncology, specifically Medical Physics, Dosimetry, and Radiation Therapy.
Cathi Mitchell Beecroft is the product of a military upbringing. Her mother was in the United States Air Force which allowed the family to travel the world. Cathi spent most of her formative years in Japan and the Philippines, moving to Texas in 1989.
Cathi started her career on the clinical side of healthcare then transitioned to a successful career in medical device sales. She earned her Green Belt in Six Sigma during her tenure with GE Medical.
Cathi started in the Executive Search and Staffing Profession in 2006, joining Deacon in 2010. Cathi has held significant positions while at Deacon, currently she is a Director with our Medical Division. As a contributor on the Medical team, Cathi collaborates with client companies to identify solutions for their strategic talent needs. Through her efforts in the community, she earned a seat on the San Antonio North Chamber Board of Directors in 2019 and served as the Executive Council Chair for Technology in 2020. She continues to be an advocate for businesses and leaders.
Cathi considers herself very fortunate to have great friends and family with which to spend her free time. She enjoys the outdoors in our beautiful South Texas area, listening to live music and experiencing the many cultural activities that are available. Cathi is the proud Godmother of a beautiful 12 year old girl. Cathi is married to the love of her life, Jeff, who she first met in High School in the Philippines.

What do you love best about your job?
Hands down, it has to be helping people!! My whole career, both in healthcare and recruiting, has been about that. Moving jobs can be stressful, but it can also be life-changing for a person and those around them. I can’t think of anything more rewarding than to help someone navigate to a better situation for them and their family. I have the BEST job ever!!
Holly Esquivel CPC

Holly is the Senior Divisional Director of Deacon’s Medical Division. The Medical Division focuses on placing professionals in hospitals and clinics nationwide in Radiation Oncology, specifically Medical Physics, Dosimetry, and Radiation Therapy.
Born and raised in Danby, Vermont, Holly graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a 3-Year Honors Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. Holly celebrated 10-years with Deacon Recruiting in April of 2021.
Serving on almost every Division throughout her tenure at Deacon, her extensive experience in the Recruiting Profession ensures a high level of cultural and functional fit for each selected candidate for Deacon’s Client Companies.
Holly has been consistently recognized throughout her tenure at Deacon, including the 30 Day Club membership, Recognition of Excellence, Outstanding Accomplishment 2013 and multiple Top Quarterly and Top Monthly Performer recognitions. Holly has also served multiple terms on Deacon’s Social Committee and is a founding Member of Deacon’s Book Club.
She believes in giving her time and supports the Greater Chamber’s Technology Council as well as serves as a founding member of the Medical Divisions efforts to support Radiation Oncology talent entering the market through Deacon’s – “Accelerate” Your Job Search – Entering the Job Market with Confidence webinar series. She supports youth sports and is an active volunteer with the Greater Helotes Little League and the YMCA.
Holly lives in San Antonio with her husband, Bernie, and four children, Brianna, Hudson, Beckett and Gabriel.

Amanda Johnson CPC
Director, Accounting & Finance Division
Amanda is a Director in Deacon’s Accounting & Finance Division. Amanda’s area of specialty is Banking, specifically Commercial Loan Assistants, Credit Analysts, Commercial Loan Officers, and C-level Banking Executives.
Amanda graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Consumer Sciences. Amanda joined Deacon in 2012 as an Associate Recruiter and was consistently promoted based on her performance and dedication to exceptional service. She enjoyed a brief 1.5 year hiatus to get married and build a beautiful home. Deacon is delighted to welcome Amanda back to Team Deacon in 2017. She led the Corporate Services Division prior to her leave and has a reputation of connecting “A” Players with award winning companies in the San Antonio area. Building and maintaining strong professional relationships has been an important priority for Amanda over the years.
Amanda lives in New Braunfels and enjoys spending time with family and friends, tubing the river in Gruene, trying new restaurants, and salt-water fishing.

I enjoy working with a team that is passionate about what they do each and every day. I love the challenge of finding people that are hard to reach or difficult to find, by being creative and thinking outside the box. I know the right person is out there, I just have to figure out how to find them and I bring on the challenge with open arms.
Ashley Morrow CPC

Ashley is a Director in Deacon’s Corporate Services Division. Her areas of specialty are Marketing, Sales, and Executive Administrative Support.
Ashley graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Leadership Studies with minors in Communications and Human Resource Development. Ashley began her career at Deacon Recruiting in 2013 and takes pride in her outstanding organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to empathize with a variety of people, which has aided in her success at Deacon. She is very involved in the community; she is an active member of Junior League of San Antonio since 2012. Throughout her career at Deacon, Ashley has been regularly recognized as Top Quarterly Performer and Top Monthly Performer amongst her colleagues. Ashley is gifted in identifying top talent for Deacon’s Client Companies, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service to both Client Companies and Candidates she serves.
Ashley lives in Bulverde with her husband, Duncan and Daughter, Bo Lenae and Son, Parks Gray. She enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

What I love best about working at Deacon is I have been able to grow personally and professionally each year that I have been a part of the organization. I started a family while at Deacon and the organization has allowed me to continue a career I love while providing the flexibility I need to be more present at home.

Felicia Avalos CPC
Director, Accounting-Finance and Information Technology Divisions
Felicia is a Director in Deacon’s Accounting-Finance and IT Divisions. The divisions focus on placing Accounting & Finance as well as IT Professionals from staff through executive levels.
Felicia graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. Prior to joining Deacon, she worked in the Private Security industry for 8 years. Her vast ability to maintain and build lasting relationships combined with her results-driven mindset has contributed to her quick success with Deacon.
She began her career with Deacon Recruiting in 2018 as a Recruiter where she was awarded Rookie of the Year. She has since been promoted to Senior Recruiter and now to her current role, Director. During her tenure, Felicia has received several Top Monthly Performer awards and has exceeded her annual goal the last two years.
Felicia lives in San Antonio with her mini dachshund, Bessie, and tuxedo cat, James Bond “JB.” She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants, working out, mountain biking, hip-hop dancing, and participating and watching sporting events.

The environment and the culture. I have never worked for an organization that truly values my opinions and inputs. Then to actually see those ideas put into action is almost unheard of anymore. I don’t feel as if I am only an employee, but that I am a value added member of the family.

Tiffany Ledesma CPC

Tiffany is a Director in Deacon’s Accounting & Finance Division. The practice focuses on placing Accounting & Finance Professionals from staff through executive levels.
In 2007, Tiffany obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. After completing her degree, she returned home to Barbados to start her career as a Human Resource Assistant for Deloitte and Touche. In 2013, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Global Human Resources Management, from the University of Liverpool, Liverpool England.
Tiffany brings with her over 10 years’ experience in Human Resource Recruiting and 3 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing Recruiting. Tiffany’s passion for recruiting is derived from being able to help people find their dream career.
Tiffany relocated to San Antonio in 2016 with her husband Mark and her 5 year old son Coen, along with their cute little puppy Arlo. She enjoys going to the beach, swimming in the rivers and returning home to participate in Carnival.

Abbey Napier
Senior Marketing Specialist & Front Office
Abbey has a dual role as Deacon’s Front Office and Senior Marketing Specialist.
Her primary responsibilities include maintaining Deacon’s social media pages and website in addition to managing the day-to-day Operations. Abbey also works with Deacon’s Marketing Initiatives and all social strategies.
Abbey graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Abbey started with Deacon in 2019, bringing over 7 years of sales and customer service experience.
Abbey currently lives in San Antonio, Texas. She enjoys hiking, drawing/painting, poetry, exploring new places, and spending time with family, friends, and her rescue dogs, Sirius and Ellie.

Kathleen Sundin
Senior Executive Recruiter, Corporate Services Division
Kathleen Sundin is a Senior Executive Recruiter in the Corporate Services Division. Kathleen was born and raised in Oregon and came to Texas in 2014 to compete at the University of the Incarnate Word in synchronized swimming. She majored in Communication Studies, completing a Bachelor’s of Arts in 2018 and a Master’s of Arts in 2020. She was a member of the inaugural class of the Lambda Pi Eta Honors Society and was a Dean’s List student every semester. During her two-year Master’s program, Kathleen was a Media Relations Graduate Assistant for the Athletic Department. In this role, she was the Sports Information contact for men’s/women’s swimming and diving, synchronized swimming, and women’s soccer, where she covered games/conference championships/national competitions with press releases, statistics, social media management, graphic development, and other duties as assigned.
Kathleen loves serving others and encouraging empathy. Providing media coverage for DI student-athletes was a driving motivator to showcase the work others put in “on and off the court” through engaging communication. During the 2019 US Synchronized Swimming Collegiate National Championship, Kathleen assisted as a Meet Manager and Liaison between UIW Athletics and USA Synchro (now US Artistic Swimming). In addition, she represented UIW women’s soccer in the program’s first-ever postseason play appearance, working in Media Relations and assisting in photography and Sports Information duties with the Tournament staff.
She was awarded the Mary Jo Ruggieri scholarship at the 2016 Synchronized Swimming Collegiate National Championship after being nominated by the UIW coaching staff.
In her free time, Kathleen enjoys hiking, playing disc golf with her boyfriend, Will, and being by the water in any way. She has one four-legged child, a kitten named Humphrey Douglas.

Though I am new in my tenure, Deacon Recruiting has been an outstanding opportunity for me beginning my professional career. Collaborating and learning from leading professionals in the Executive Search and Staffing space has opened my eyes to the inner workings of many San Antonio businesses, for which I am thankful! Theresa Sparkman

Theresa is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University in 2012 with a Bachelors of Humanities in History. After relocating to San Antonio with her husband for his Air Force duties, she quickly grew to love the great state of Texas and the San Antonio area. Theresa has a passion for connecting and working with people which led her to the world of recruiting and joining Team Deacon.
Theresa lives in Leon Springs with her husband Ryan, and three children, Madelyn, James and Luke. She enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking at local parks and visiting family for Mardi Gras and football tailgates.

Suzanne Trainor, CPA
Corporate Controller
Suzanne Trainor is the Corporate Controller for Deacon and provides support for the internal staff. Suzanne joined Deacon with twenty-seven years of experience in the accounting field.
Suzanne was raised in a military family and settled in San Antonio when her father retired from the Air Force. Suzanne graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a BA in accounting in 1994 and went on to pursue her Certified Public Accountant license. She has gained experience in public accounting and various industries throughout her career.
Suzanne has received various awards over the years for her dedication, hard work, contribution, and attention to detail.
Suzanne and her husband, Kevin, have been married seven years, and have a four-legged adopted child, a German Shephard named Champ, that keeps them busy. She enjoys traveling and hiking with her husband, doing crafts, and volunteering at her church.

Baillie Collins
Recruiter, Corporate Services Division
Baillie was born and raised in San Antonio, and moved to San Marcos in 2016 to pursue her college degree at Texas State University – EAT ‘EM UP CATS! In December 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Relations and Mass Communication and a Minor in Business Administration. While in college, Baillie was a member of the sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, where she found a passion for recruiting.
Baillie lives in New Braunfels with her fiancé, Wes. They love to spend time with family and friends by the water, and have fun with good food and great music. She is known for her contagious positivity and outgoing personality. Baillie enjoys making others feel welcomed and supported throughout their lives, whether it’s professionally or personally.

Lillie is a Recruiter at Deacon Recruiting. She joined Deacon with 2 years of sales experience. Lillie graduated from Texas State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a Minor in Human Development and Family Science. While in college, Lillie was a member of the sorority, Kapa Delta, her freshman and sophomore year at Texas Tech University.
Lillie was born and raised in Spring Branch and now lives in San Antonio with her boyfriend, Brandon. In her spare time, she loves to spend time on their boat at the lake, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her Mini Goldendoodle, “Bandit”.

Nicole Duncan

Nicole was born and raised in a small Texas town called Kingsville and received her Bachelors of Business Administration from Brandman University. Nicole has lived all over the U.S. due to her husband's career in the Army. Her favorite state to live in, outside of Texas of course, was Alaska. Nicole and her husband landed on San Antonio to settle down in and put down some roots where they are raising their family. Nicole is an eternal optimist and finds great pleasure in enriching the lives of those around her. She has a passion for helping others and feels that working as a Deacon Recruiter allows her to do just that.
Nicole and her husband, David share four children together, Layla, Rory, Harrison and Kallie. Nicole enjoys traveling and getting out into the great outdoors for kayaking, hiking or swimming with her family, she also loves cracking open a good book in her spare time. She also has two four-legged children, Bernadette and Howard “Howie”.
