JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assistant to attorneys in Business Operations and Employment practice areas
- Maintain and update corporate files and indices and employment-related files for assigned attorneys
- Maintain matter management system, including updating status reports for each matter and posting documents
- Maintain and update legal calendar for assigned attorneys and provide updated weekly calendars for assigned attorneys
- Draft correspondence and documents as requested
- Assist with processing of invoices and expense reimbursements from outside vendors
- Schedule appointments, meetings, conference calls for assigned attorneys
- Make travel arrangements and process travel-related reimbursement requests for assigned attorneys
- Maintain contact information in Outlook and case files
- Prepare and enter expense reports for assigned attorneys
JOB EXPERIENCE
- Experience with in-house counsel in the Business Operations and Employment practice areas
- Demonstrated proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a time-sensitive and high-pressure environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4 years experience working as a legal assistant in a corporate or law firm environment
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with autonomy and be proactive
- Accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of position
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
